Google Analytics & Ads Performance Intern

Perform For Golf is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and driven Google Analytics & Ads Performance Intern to support our marketing and growth efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in digital marketing, analytics, sports business, or performance marketing who wants hands-on experience working with real ad campaigns and real data.

The Google Analytics & Ads Performance Intern will take ownership of weekly and monthly analytics reporting for Perform for Golf’s paid advertising across Google and Meta platforms. This role plays a key part in helping the team understand campaign performance, optimize ad spend, and make data-informed decisions that support business growth.

Interns must have Google Analytic Experience.

What You’ll Do

Google Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor Google Analytics (GA4) on a weekly basis

  • Track key performance metrics including traffic sources, user behavior, conversions, and landing page performance

  • Ensure proper tracking of goals and conversions tied to paid ads

  • Identify trends, anomalies, and performance changes month over month

Ads Reporting & Analysis

  • Create weekly performance summaries for active Google and Meta ad campaigns

  • Develop monthly performance reports including:

    • Ad spend

    • Impressions and clicks

    • Conversion rates

    • Cost per conversion

    • Campaign and audience performance

  • Highlight top-performing and underperforming campaigns

Insights & Optimization Support

  • Provide clear, actionable insights based on data findings

  • Identify opportunities for optimization related to:

    • Budget allocation

    • Campaign structure

    • Audience targeting

    • Landing page performance

  • Help answer business questions related to lead quality and program performance

Marketing & Collaboration

  • Attend marketing and performance review meetings

  • Communicate findings clearly to the Perform for Golf team

  • Support decision-making with concise, easy-to-understand reporting

  • Collaborate with marketing, leadership, and coaching teams to align analytics with business goals

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Sports Management, or a related field

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4) required

  • Strong comfort working with numbers, dashboards, and reports

  • Experience or interest in Google Ads and/or Meta Ads preferred

  • Experience with Google Sheets, Excel, or Looker Studio is a plus

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to meet weekly and monthly reporting deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Interest in sports, fitness, and performance-driven businesses

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Primarily computer-based work using analytics and reporting platforms

  • Extended periods of sitting and screen use

  • Occasional meetings at Perform for Golf locations or events (if Bay Area–based)

  • Moderate noise level typical of an office or training facility environment
